Services

Committed to Service

Since opening our doors on March 15, 2005, the Iberia Homeless Shelter, Inc. has provided services to over 3,200 homeless individuals, including women and children.

Remarkably, 64% of these individuals have achieved full-time employment and secured permanent housing. As part of the Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness (ARCH), we extend our outreach services across eight parishes. Our programs range from Coordinated Assessment and Rapid Re-housing to Homeless Prevention, Emergency, Transitional, and Re-entry Programs.

Historically, our focus has been on serving single, unaccompanied men committed to self-sufficiency through case management, life skills training, and employment assistance.

However, in alignment with the Coordinated Assessment process mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we have expanded our scope.

We are proud to be the only emergency shelter certified by HUD in Iberia, St. Martin, Vermilion, and St. Mary Parishes.

We invite you to make an annual contribution to support our work. Your generous donation will play a crucial role in keeping our doors open and continuing to serve those in need in our communities.
